Title  The role of the experiential creative arts therapist in a rehab setting
Description  The role of the Therapist is one of companioning. I do not place artificial restrictions or limits on the way the women are able to access emotions, ideas or insights. Nor do I seek to influence the ‘ways’ the women experience in an attempt to move ever closer towards an approximation of personal meaning. We are able to use dance, body movement, visual and fine art, poetry, writing and any creative endeavour if it can be used to facilitate understanding, insight or give access to an approximation of meaning. The research is a form of action research and personal inquiry. There will be a masters paper presented in early December.
